The Space Station visits Louisiana
On Friday, the Space Station was visible over the skys of Louisiana. At 826 pm it came from the NW heading SE. The sun rays reflecting off of the solar panels made it really visible. It was traveling at a high rate of speed but was visible for about 4 minutes before it disappeared. Sunday night the Space Station again was visible in the louisiana sky, for about 5-6 minutes it traveled NW to SE, the News stated it might flash as the rays reflected off of the solar panels but we saw a bright glow, the panels were visible to the naked eye and showed as wings of the cylinder. We used a minocular and got a better than average view, but were afraid we could not track a fast moving object with our telescope. The news stated there were 13 people aboard as it circles our planet. Cloudless nights, great temps, and a spectacular view made both evenings memorable.
